Garden Hotel

It's a little early, but I stayed there as a thank you. 📍Okura Garden Hotel Part 1 ※Photos 1 and 2 are cookies I brought with me. Okura Garden Hotel is definitely the hotel I stayed at the most in Shanghai. First, I stayed there for a few nights on a trip, multiple times, 10 nights while searching for a room, 2 nights and 3 days for the New Year's holiday plan, I won 2 people for teppanyaki lunch in bingo at the countdown party and took the stage 🤣 I spoke about my New Year's resolutions on the microphone. My husband's company group holds a New Year's party every year. It's also a lucky place where I won a rice cooker and lunch vouchers in bingo. My best memory is when I had only been in Shanghai for about 3 months, a friend from Japan was staying at the Okura Garden Hotel, and I came to pick them up early in the morning. It was when I still used cash and took taxis normally. I didn't get any change from a bad taxi (a dirty vehicle with a TAXI sign on it). I couldn't even say a word of complaint or ask for my change. I was dropped off and it was only 8 yuan, but I felt bad about it. 😭 I told someone at the hotel who spoke Japanese and they immediately called the taxi company and asked for the 8 yuan in change. They gave me the 8 yuan on the spot and said, "The taxi company will bring it to us, so please take it." What a godlike response♡ It wasn't about the amount. It was a great relief. When I was walking around that area and my stomach was rumbling, I also used the toilet. My husband did it multiple times. Hanazono toilets are a safe place to go. (👈 Sorry for calling you that) It was thanks to Hanazono that I was able to meet Nanfan, and Yamazato was treated to delicious Japanese food as well as breakfast. As shown in the photos in ① and ②, I brought sweets and cakes and had tea in my room. I always struggled with the fruit knife being a regular meal knife🍴🤣🤣🤣 When I turned on the TV, the first music that played was a Showa-era mood song In the retro lobby lounge, I wanted to get a refill of coffee, so I had my Chinese teacher teach me the word "续杯" and used it many times😅 Looking back, I only have good memories. I like the city view side, where you can see the old house below and the buildings beyond it at the same time. Photo ② You can enjoy the view that says "Shanghai!" The washlet in the toilet and the bathroom in the room are TOTO, and the TV is currently Panasonic Ding! The elevator, with its great retro sound, is Hitachi. It's full of Japanese and homey vibes. In 2020, after Nomura Securities' 30-year contract expired and management was returned to Jinjiang, eight people from the Okura entered Shanghai to run the hotel in a joint venture with the hotel. I wonder how many Japanese businessmen and their families visited before COVID-19. Even now, many Japanese companies hold meetings here. It's definitely a place where you can feel at ease. I'm especially grateful for the care I received during the lonely early days of my life in Shanghai. I walked around the hotel again, looking everywhere. I also looked up its history. Then I suddenly realized... Oh my! I've never been to the main bar. This is no good. Since this is my last stay, I decided to go. On this day, it was the full moon of the harvest moon 🌕 Go to Part 2 ・ ・ #Shanghai #shanghai #GardenHotel #GardenHotel #Okura #okuragardenhotelshanghai #shanghaihotel #shanghailife #halloween2021 #themepark #zoo #awesomepic #couplestrip
