🇦🇲 What to Know Before Arriving in Armenia

Planning your first trip to Armenia? Here are a few things I wish I knew before arriving 👇 🚕 Getting around For taxis, apps are your best friend. Yandex Go and inDrive are convenient options, so you can see the price before your ride instead of negotiating on the street. Yandex Go also supports both cash and card payments. 💰 Currency Armenia uses the Armenian dram (AMD / ֏). Cards are widely accepted in Yerevan, but don’t rely on them completely. It’s a good idea to keep some cash with you, especially when visiting smaller towns, local markets, or places outside the capital. 🏞️ Don’t stay only in Yerevan Yerevan is beautiful, but some of the most spectacular places in Armenia are outside the capital — mountain landscapes, ancient monasteries, Lake Sevan, Dilijan, Noravank and so much more. 🚌 Consider a guided tour If it’s your first time in Armenia, a guided day tour can be one of the easiest ways to explore the countryside. You won’t have to worry about transportation, planning the route, or figuring out how to reach more remote attractions. 📌 My biggest tip: Give yourself time to explore beyond Yerevan. Armenia’s landscapes and historic sites are a huge part of what makes the country so special. Save this for your Armenia trip! 🇦🇲✨
