I will definitely rate Myeongdong as the top tourist district in Seoul. Everyone will be here and there is a lot of crowd here. You can get all your kpop and Korean fever here too. It used to be bustling before the pandemic. When I revisited in September, it was still crowded but without the Chinese tourists. Even when shopping in Myeongdong, speaking in mandarin is totally ok too. The street food carts are still around and you can get cheaper hotel rates now, compared to before. You can also get super competitive money exchange rates here too. Outside this subway exit 7, I chanced upon the history and cultural display.
