Top 5 Best Hotels in Korea 👑 Westin Chosun Hotel

I try to enjoy a staycation once a year. Chosun Hotel, which is one of the best hotels in Korea, was also my first staycation hotel. That's why I booked an executive room with lounge access. I'm going to write about the good and bad points of my experience at Chosun Hotel. 👍Good points - Lounge access - Welcome food - Breakfast First of all, I was satisfied with the lounge as I had booked a room with lounge access. I may have felt that way because it was my first staycation at the time, but I didn't have time to get hungry because I thoroughly enjoyed the happy hour. Since I don't drink, most of the food in the lounge was a bit salty and served as a side dish, but I think it was still edible. And it's the only hotel I've been to that provides welcome food. The only regret is... It wasn't there right after check-in, but when we came back after using the lounge, it was there, so it felt a little strange that someone had come into the room without us. But it was good that they gave me welcome food. Breakfast was not bad. I used the buffet instead of the lounge for breakfast, and the food was clean. It felt a bit stuffy because the ceiling was low, but it definitely didn't seem like it was called one of the best hotels for nothing. 🤔 Disappointing points - Outdated room - Disappointing service compared to other hotels - Issues during stay When I compared Chosun Hotel to other hotels after that, I definitely felt that it was outdated. For example, the TV was disappointing compared to hotels in a similar price range. And it felt old and heavy, so it felt more like outdated than heavy. Also, compared to other hotels that are called the best hotels in Korea, I didn't feel special. Of course, the service of other hotels may be particularly friendly, but I didn't feel like I was being treated well in the lounge or during my stay. And this is the biggest issue, the smell of ramen that seemed to be eaten in other rooms came into our room. Even though I didn't eat anything in the room, I asked about the smell of ramen, and they prepared an air purifier, but the smell didn't go away, so I still felt uneasy. In conclusion, would I stay at the Chosun Hotel again? No. There are many good hotels in Seoul, and the service has definitely improved these days, but I personally didn't feel that there was a big merit to staying at the Chosun Hotel. I felt that it was lacking compared to other 5-star hotels. Since this is my personal experience, I think there will be many people who recommend the Chosun Hotel.
