Address: 8, Hanrimmal 1-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul Facility/Atmosphere: Kongpadu, located close to Oksu Station. Kongpadu means tofu soaked in soybean water. It is not a famous restaurant yet, but it has a solid position in Oksu-dong. The interior is typical of a neighborhood restaurant that you can easily see in any neighborhood. Key Point: All of Kongpadu's dishes are served in a cauldron. The side dishes tasted ordinary, as expected from a restaurant serving plain rice, but the dishes made with tofu were quite rich and savory. They generously added tofu, so it was quite filling. The seasoning for the stir-fried pork was a bit spicy for my taste, but it was deliciously spicy.
