Not Iceland! It’s South Korea!
Upset about rainy weather, but amazed after seeing this!
If you visit Jeju island in South Korea, don’t miss its East. The Sunrise peak was formed 7000 years ago by a volcanic eruption!🌋🙈
And now you can walk around black lava rocks and view this astonishing beauty!
Foggy weather made it even more mistique and distinct from other tourists pics.
And how about that Starbucks? The best view from the cafe ever! Also try the black sesame latte and special Jeju matcha.

Reflections on my two trips to Jeju Island, and why I want to go again!
🤔How long should I stay?
Looking at photos online, Jeju Island seems to be just some small houses by the sea that can be walked in a day. But in reality, it's quite large, about the size of three Seouls and one Xiamen. If you want to see all the beautiful places, a four-day trip is appropriate.
🗺How should I plan my itinerary?
My itinerary was mainly about eating, drinking, and having fun, without visiting tourist spots or shopping, but it was still quite tight.
Day1: East Line🎈 - Udo - Seongsan Ilchulbong - Sopjikoji;
Day2: West Line🎈 - Jeju Yeoyeom Village Resort - East Line Woljeongri;
Day3: Seogwipo🎈 - Tangerine Garden - Camellia - Hyeopjae Beach - Ollae Market;
Day4: Jeju Island Old Area🎈 - New Area by the sea.
📸The places that are particularly photogenic in order are:
Udo, Yeoyeom, Woljeongri, Seogwipo Hyeopjae. These are all seaside areas, with roads leading to the sea and windows with ocean views😍.
🚶How to avoid unnecessary detours?
Arrange to visit places that are close to each other, and try not to miss any. Reading more travel guides can help avoid taking the long way🤗.
For example, in Yeoyeom, BOMNAL, teamblow, and other stores are not far from each other, and you can arrange to visit them by chartered car on the same day🚗.
Woljeongri's mou moon cafe, bagel miseum, and the small dog cafe are also close by, so you can visit them together🐶.
🙅Aren't all seaside roads and small houses the same?
Actually, the color of the sea is different😜! The sea at Woljeongri and Yeoyeom is jelly-colored, while Seogwipo's is deep blue.
Udo is not very convenient for watching the sunset, you can choose to watch it at Yeoyeom or Seogwipo's Hyeopjae🌇.
👀That's all for my sharing! Have I attracted you😁? Come to Jeju Island and experience it for yourself!
📷Photo order:

Osulloc Tea Musuem: Heaven for matcha lovers!
📍Osulloc Tea Museum, Jeju
LOVE THE MATCHA SLUSHIE! (must try) they do sell a set that comes with a matcha roll, matcha soft serve and matcha slushie (also topped with soft serve). The drink was smooth, matcha taste was strong and not diluted, best off the menu! As for the roll cake, preferred the hallabong flavoured one! (give this a try too! the hint of tangerine brings out the flavour of the cake)
After having your desserts, head over to the store to stock up on some matcha snacks, green tea AND DONT MISS THE GREEN TEA MILK SPREAD. Goes well with crackers or plain bread!

Jeju Island 3 Days 2 Nights Guide | How to play in the backyard of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai
The Qingming holiday is just around the corner, please take this Jeju Island guide -
🔺Preparation
▫️Budget reference: 300,000 Korean won in cash for 2 people + an international credit card
▫️SIM card: A friend activated roaming, I chose to buy a card with a phone number at Jeju Airport (very important for ride-hailing/taking numbers in queues)
▫️Must-download 3 major APPs: NAVER Map/Kakao T/Papago Translation
▫️Travel suggestion: Taxi convenience >>> Bus convenience
It's best to save the Korean address of your destination in advance (I will put the Korean addresses in the guide in the comments section 🥰)
▫️Accommodation: Whistle Lark Hotel, great price and upgraded to a sea view room
-
🔺DAY 1·Saturday·Shanghai-Jeju
▪️Lunch: Sunflower Tofu Soup (super delicious, it's not an exaggeration to call it the tofu soup of a lifetime)
▪️Afternoon: Take a taxi to Hamdeok Seoubong Beach
It was cloudy when we went, with a unique Korean melancholic vibe, and Big Bang's Blue☁️ started playing in my mind
▪️Dinner: Seehwa Pork Ribs
Right next to Hamdeok Beach, the staff are very nice and will help cut the ribs. 🤩Very delicious, the rice cakes are also very flavorful, one pot is enough for two girls
▪️Supper: bhc Fried Chicken
Cheese flavor >>> Spicy cheese, the latter feels like physical pain when eaten ❌
-
🔺DAY 2·Sunday·East Coast Day Tour
Considering the inconvenience of transportation, we joined a day tour bus from a certain platform, which was unexpectedly comfortable and restful, very suitable for working people traveling on weekends
▫️Udo Island
- The whole island is jelly sea + black rocks, a special visual effect
- Udo Prince Ice Cream The owner makes ice cream while DJing, fun experience +1
▫️Seongsan Ilchulbong
A world geological park, it's quite shocking to see with the naked eye, the route to the left is free, and the mountain climbing route is charged. For photo ops, you can go directly to the left to find spots 📷
▫️Sopjikoji
Overcast weather gives a feeling of despair at the end of the world, suitable for shooting dark portrait blockbusters (just too windy!)
▫️Woljeongri
There's a coffee shop every 5 meters along the shore ☕️ Sitting in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows watching the jelly sea is really chill
▫️Dinner: Black Pork Barbecue Massim
We went all the way to the new area, only to find that the barbecue restaurant we saved was lined up for 22 tables online, so we entered a random barbecue restaurant in a fit of anger
The black pork barbecue is very chewy and quite delicious, I think barbecue can't be too bad 🚬
-
🔺DAY 3·Monday·Jeju City & Return Home
▪️Shinsegae Duty-Free Shop Open until 18:00⚠️
Purchased a pair of GM sunglasses, with the rebate the price is a whole 1K lower than the official price in China, truly a Korean specialty
▪️Lunch: Seaweed Rice Roll Heaven
Near the duty-free shop, mostly locals come here for lunch, there are many types of dishes, you can order a platter, very satisfying to eat everything
▪️14:50 Jeju-Shanghai Return home
💰3 Days 2 Nights per person cost 3K+ (excluding shopping)

Shinhwa Theme Park Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Shinhwa Theme Park is unique in many ways. First, it tries to make its own characters seems as popular as Mickey Mouse and Spider Man - it doesn’t work but it’s great fun just trying to figure out who is who. Second, everything seems brand new - so it’s spotless and at the same standards as a Disneyland or Universal Studios. Third - the rides are small but oh so knock out fun. And there is rarely anyone there.
#GiveThanks
Jeju Island, South Korea: Step into the Time Tunnel at Myth World Theme Park 신화테마파크
Address: 98 Sinhwayeoksa-ro 304beon-gil, Andeok-myeon, 특별자치도, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do, South Korea
Atmosphere/Facilities: Cinema, food trucks, amusement rides, installation art, large park
Features: Hilarious insects, Dancing Oscar, and seven other major story areas.
Average Price: 18,000 Korean Won
Rating: The theme park integrates the humorous worldview of the globally popular Korean local animation 'Hilarious Insects' into an authentic Korean theme park experience. Including Jeju's only roller coaster 'Dancing Oscar' among various thrilling amusement rides, the park showcases the humorous and witty design of TUBAn animation company... With realistic environments, magical amusement facilities and attractions, cultural exhibitions, and exciting live performances, it offers an immersive experience of the world's most beautiful mythological stories.
By the way, the park currently mainly features 'Hilarious Insects' and 'Dancing Oscar'.
Shinhwa Theme Park
#koreatrip
A small theme park, good bundle tickets if you stay at the hotel. Was not crowded when we went.
Most of the attractions were the spinning sort so fair warning if you are susceptible to dizzy rides. There were some VR rides and plenty of food. Even a fun little make-your-own pizza for the kids. Some attractions require us to share the theme park on social media, I guess to attract more tourists or friends.
Shinhwa Theme Park
Shinhwa Theme Park is filled with characters from a Korean animated show. It is beside the water park a nearby a hotel. Families will definitely have a great time here but as a 21 year old, I enjoyed it too. Entrance to walk in the park is completely FREE but there are tickets to be purchased if you want to ride on the rides. A single ride costs 6000won, 3 rides costs 17,000won and unlimited rides costs 30,000won.
In my opinion, it was definitely a fun experience as there are rides more for adults like the Flying Wheel and Oscar’s Spin’n Bump. There are also more chill rides for the kids if they cant take the fast rides. For some rides, the staff will sing a song with the music that is playing which I found it quite cute.

Teddy Bear Museum
#wheretogo
Visiting the Teddy Bear Museum was my childhood dreams and now that I am a big kid, it felt great to finally earn some money and checked it off my list.
Though I would say times and interest has changed, but I will never regretted coming to Jeju to see it.
Teddy Bear Museum as the name says, is a museum full of unique teddy bears from different countries and age. It was quite fun to see so many teddy bears gathered and dressed up for different occasions.
At the end of the journey there is a souvenir store, which shockingly still sells the same merchandise my aunt bought for me as a kid.
Teddies everywhere
