The bright red maple trees welcome you to the colorful mausoleum of Date Masamune

I climbed the elegant grand staircase surrounded by large trees, and looked out over the surrounding area, where a beautiful garden spread out before me. I visited Zuihoden on November 30, 2024, and the autumn leaves were truly beautiful 🍁. The trees in the grounds were dyed in various colors, and just walking along the mountain path leading from Zuihoden to Kansenden and Zennoden was a real pleasure in autumn in Sendai. Zuihoden is also famous as the mausoleum of Date Masamune, and one of its attractions is being able to experience its historical background. The Zuihoden building itself is decorated with gorgeous decorations from that time, and although the building itself was restored after the war, you can experience its splendor. By visiting during the autumn leaves season, I was able to spend time where natural beauty and history were beautifully combined, and I was very satisfied.
