Türkiye 🇹🇷 Seventh stop: The House of the Virgin Mary This attraction is the most disappointing one in my 12-day trip to Türkiye! In order to avoid you from stepping on landmines, I would like to introduce it separately 🤣 If you are a devout Catholic or Christian, or if you are pursuing the collection of world heritage sites, then you may be interested in coming and checking it out. As an atheist, I have visited countless churches in Europe and had no feelings about this attraction. Here, the ticket for two people plus parking fee totaled 450 lira, about 400 Taiwan dollars per person. It only takes 3 minutes to walk from the entrance to the church, and then you will find that taking photos and recording videos are prohibited inside the church. The space inside the church is very small, and there is a queue behind you waiting to get in, so you may only be inside for about 20 seconds. The exhibits inside are just as shown in the photo, with a statue of the Virgin Mary and a small statue of Jesus next to it. The entire attraction can be visited in less than 5 minutes! Considering we traveled two hours from Pamukkale to come here, to be honest, this attraction was not worth it for me. To save others time, here's the scoop 🤣 If you're really into Christianity or history, maybe you'll like it. I've seen many churches in Europe, so I wasn't impressed. Tickets cost 450 Lira for two, about 400 TWD each, plus parking. It's a 3 mins walk to the church, but inside, no photos allowed (pic from Wikipedia). It's small, with a line, so you're in for about 20 seconds. There's just a Virgin Mary statue and a small Jesus statue. Done in 5 mins! After a two-hour detour from Pamukkale, it wasn't my thing.
