Arrived at the fourth stop, Sbeitla, in the morning, and visited another ancient Roman site (Figure 1). Sbeitla has a very rich and magnificent heritage, among which the Roman temple is the most famous and well-preserved (Figure 2). The exact date of the city's establishment is unknown, probably in the 2nd or 3rd century AD, and it was once the capital during the Byzantine era. Sbeitla, as unique as its name, is most famous for its three adjacent ancient Roman temples of Zeus, dedicated to the god Jupiter, the goddess Juno, and Jupiter's daughter Athena (Figure 3). Other attractions include the Roman theater (Figure 4), the triumphal arch (Figure 5), the bathhouse (Figure 6), the baptismal pool (Figure 7), the oil mill (Figure 8), etc. The whole complex constitutes a very wealthy town of the Roman era. Two consecutive ancient Roman sites in the past two days, similar to each other. The military power of the ancient Roman Empire at that time can be seen, but now the empire is no longer in its prime, and the afterglow still remains, which is remembered by future generations.
