This mansion was built as a residence for King Chulalongkorn during his visit to the South, but he did not stay overnight. 👉🏼Later, in 1997-2001, the Fine Arts Department announced the registration of the national historic site and proceeded to renovate the building to use as the city's national museum. 👉🏼The 2-storey brick and mortar building is a Western-style building. It can be considered as the Guden Mansion building, which is a European colonial architecture. ✨✨ More importantly, the Satun Background Room is organized to display various aspects of Satun's background, such as geography, geology, prehistoric stories, important events in the past of Satun, the lifestyle of the Sakai ethnic group, and the story of Tarutao Island. It displays various aspects of Satun's lifestyle, such as the life of the seafaring people on Lipe Island, ancient pottery making and firing.
