Sasebo City is a large city in the northern part of Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan, and its population ranks second in Nagasaki Prefecture, second only to Nagasaki. Known as the city of shipbuilding and defense industry in Japan, the Sasebo US Naval Base with US troops stationed in Japan is also home to Kyushu's largest theme park, Huis Ten Bosch, and is therefore a famous tourist city. But after the Second World War in the world, due to the disintegration of the Japanese Navy and the massive airstrikes that were destroyed during the war, the population was greatly reduced.
