[Hokkaido, Sapporo] A must-see museum that goes beyond free

Hokkaido University, a prestigious national university in Sapporo, has a building called the General Museum, which is free to enter even if you are not a student. It is open from 10:00 to 17:00 except on Mondays (except on Mondays when it is a public holiday), and admission is free! If it is free, you might think it is a simple museum, but the three-story floor is packed with exhibits. There is a lot of information about the Ainu people, who are deeply connected to the land of Hokkaido, and information related to Hokkaido University researchers, and the exhibits with specimens are particularly impressive. I was overwhelmed by the realism and power of the dinosaurs and mammoths that are said to have once lived in Hokkaido. There was a bear right next to the EV, animals hiding in the gaps in the display shelves, and there were also efforts to entertain the viewer, so if you take your time to look around, you can easily spend several hours there. It was such a full-fledged museum.
