Nakajima Park

This park is only three stops frorm downtown Sapporo on the subway. It is a beautiful park. In autumn, the leaves turn idfferent colours art different times, with shades of red, orange and yellow making a colourful display.. As Sapporo is in the far north of Japan, so spring comes later -- the cherry blosoms bloom in April. Najajima Park is a great place to view the cherry blossoms or "sakura" as they are called in Japanese. The park also hosts the Sapporo Concert Hall Kitara and a tribute to the US conductor and music educaor, Leonard Bernstein #2024wish
