The Moai statues and Stonehenge seem to be monuments to honor the deceased. Right across from the Moai is the Buddha Hill, the Two Great Buddha Hall. This is a building by world-renowned architect Tadao Ando, ​​and many people come here on purpose. They say that the majesty of the giant Buddha statues is truly amazing. I couldn't see it because it was after the opening hours, but I hope you go when the Two Great Buddha Hall is open! It's a bit far from downtown Sapporo, so it's not very accessible. It's best to visit by rental car, and you can also come by public transportation like I did.
