This hotel in Sanya not only offers beach activities but also has an art museum to explore!

Strolling through the Fairmont Hotel in Sanya Haitang Bay, which resembles a Jiangnan garden, we encountered various ancient-style buildings perfect for photography and also enjoyed the 'Wood Art Museum' that was relocated from Shanghai. Crossing the Liren Bridge, originally built during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, we entered the Wood Art Museum, which covers an area of 1540 square meters and has two courtyards. This building, also originally built during the Qianlong period, was located in Heqing Town, Chuansha, Shanghai. It was renovated in May 1923 (the 12th year of the Republic of China) by social celebrities like Du Yuesheng. Facing demolition due to urban redevelopment, it was bought for a large sum and relocated to its current location. In the Wood Art Museum, just appreciating the architecture alone left me dazzled. The buildings with their interlocking wooden structures, seamlessly connected mortise and tenon joints, and the 'Huangdao bricks' with inscriptions are all impressive. Besides the architecture, the museum is rich in content, featuring various old items reclaimed from the Jiangnan region, such as intricately carved architectural pieces, old boats from Shaoxing, old photos, window lattices, and Shanghai-style furniture that blends Chinese and Western elements. Personally, I think the Wood Art Museum is a must-visit spot when staying at the Fairmont Hotel in Sanya Haitang Bay. By making a reservation with the front desk in advance, you can even get a guided tour to learn more about the stories behind these old items!
