It was a great choice for a family vacation. This time, staying at the Sofitel Sanya Haitang Bay for three days, I found it to be very suitable for a family holiday, especially for taking the kids out. The hotel's focus on family activities and summer camps meant that three days were not enough to enjoy everything. From morning till night, there was a clear schedule of activities, and the price was reasonable for Haitang Bay. There are five swimming pools, and the beach has fine sand, perfect for beachcombing. Upon check-in, you'll receive a Little Prince passport, which you can use to collect stamps from various activities around the hotel. Collect five stamps and you'll get free ice cream, as well as five complimentary travel photos from the hotel's photography service. The hotel is very photogenic, but be sure to stay calm when selecting photos, as each additional one costs 80. We stayed in a family sea view room, which had bunk beds that the kids loved, and the room was filled with Little Prince merchandise, toys, swings, and slides. The room was designed to let go and let kids play easily for a whole morning. It had a large bathtub, welcome fruit, and all the baby essentials like a stroller, potty, tent, bed guard, etc., which you could request by phone. The hotel has various swimming pools, including a dedicated children's pool and a temperature-controlled pool (very baby-friendly). Swimming rings are available for free, and just spending time in the pool can make the kids happy all day. Add a day at the summer camp and a day of Little Prince activities, and that's how I spent my three days, with the adults relaxed and the kids happy. Although the waves in Haitang Bay are too strong for swimming, the beach is a beautiful spot to watch the sunrise and sunset. We ate at three restaurants in the hotel, all of which were good and reasonably priced. I really liked the Hainan Pearl Chinese Restaurant, where you can even customize a coconut with a blessing message for a full sense of ceremony. The buffet dinner was impressive, with a wide variety of food, live music, and a sophisticated and elegant environment. I didn't try the Thai restaurant, and now I regret it a bit, as the entrance to the Thai restaurant is very photogenic. You might want to give it a try.
