Sanxia Zushi Temple

Sanxia Changfu Temple, also known as Sanxia Zushi Temple, was established in 1761 (the 32nd year of Emperor Qianlong's reign during the Qing Dynasty). The temple is dedicated to the main deity, Qingshui Zushi Chen Zhaoying. Built using traditional methods, the temple features a five-gate, three-hall design. The foundation is made of stone, and the roof is made of wood. The floors, walls, and pillars are all constructed from stone, making it the temple with the most stone pillars in the country. Each stone pillar and bronze sculpture has a rich history and architectural ingenuity behind it. Sanxia Zushi Temple, along with Mengjia Zushi Temple, Tamsui Zushi Temple, and Ruifang Zushi Temple, are collectively known as the 'Four Great Zushi Temples of Greater Taipei.' It is currently listed as a municipal monument by the New Taipei City Government's Cultural Affairs Bureau and is considered a 'New Taipei City Cultural Asset.'
