Wat Intharam, pay respect to Luang Pho To, see the old Ubosot

According to the evidence of the Department of Religious Affairs, it was established as a temple since 2300 B.E. in the late Ayutthaya period. It was later renovated and restored during the reign of King Rama III. 🏰Wat Intharam has both developed and deteriorated until it was almost deserted. Until 2500 B.E., the temple has continued to develop until today. It is known to Buddhists near and far due to the ability of the current abbot. Important things about the temple that should be seen and paid homage include: 🏚The old chapel, which enshrines Luang Pho To, is very old and looks solemn. It is made of brick and plaster, with a wooden roof and two-tiered terracotta tiles, but it does not have the gable or raka like a typical chapel. The gable is decorated with rows of Chinese pottery. 🏚In front of the chapel, there is a protruding pavilion. There are 4 round wooden pillars supporting the temple. Outside the chapel, there is a low glass wall surrounding it. Currently, only the front remains. 🏚 There is 1 arched glass wall arch. This chapel has been registered as a national ancient monument by the Fine Arts Department. 🙏 Luang Pho To or Phra Sam Pok Kong, over 300 years old, is a Buddha statue in the Mara-Vijaya posture, late Ayutthaya art style. It is highly revered by the community. It is a Buddha carved from red stone in the Mara-Vijaya posture. 🛕 Two old pagodas that do not contain ashes in front of the old chapel have been registered as national ancient objects by the Fine Arts Department. One of them almost collapsed because a tree was growing on the pagoda. 🏰 The new chapel is made entirely of marble. The interior is decorated with paintings of the life of the Buddha, gods and various Thai patterns.
