Wat Phichai Songkhram (Outer Temple), a famous temple in Pak Nam

🙏 🙏 Wat Phichai Songkhram was built around 2253 B.E. It was originally called Wat Pho or Wat Nok. It is estimated that it received the royal charter of the boundary around 2253 B.E. It was renovated in the early Rattanakosin period when Phraya Phichai Songkhram led his troops to build 4 forts within the temple grounds: Fort Prakonchai, Fort Kaisit, Fort Narai Prabsuk, and Fort. Later, when King Rama II traveled to offer the Kathin robe at this temple, he gave the temple a new name: "Wat Phichai Songkhram". While the forts in the temple were demolished, only the names of the various roads remained. The temple's pagoda is a decorated bell-shaped pagoda decorated with Benjarong bowls and plates. There are stucco necklaces and lotus clusters decorated around the 3-tiered pagoda. The old ordination hall is in the Ayutthaya period art style and has been registered as a national ancient monument. The new ordination hall is in the form of a four-sided castle, art and architecture of the Rattanakosin period. There is a Thai-style pavilion that can accommodate hundreds of people.
