Omiya Hikawa Shrine, a historic urban oasis

The official name of Omiya Hikawa Shrine is "Musashi Ichinomiya Hikawa Shrine," but locals call it "(Omiya) Hikawa Shrine." The approach to the shrine is 2km long, making it a good place for a stroll or a little exercise. The shortest route from Omiya Station is halfway along the approach, but even from there it's still about 1km away. The glittering vermilion color of the shrine shines brilliantly on sunny days, making it a beautiful sight. Omiya Park is adjacent to the back, so you can enjoy nature to the fullest.
