It is called "Red Earth City" because the soil is rich in ochre minerals. 🟠Legend has it that a long time ago, the Archangel Gabriel fought a desperate battle with a group of lawless fallen angels and killed them all. Their blood dyed the soil red, and ochre has been in the world since then. 🟤Ochre has 24 colors including red, orange and yellow. It was a cosmetic in prehistoric times. Its colors are complex and elegant, and it has a powerful decorative function. Provence is at the forefront of this period of bursting with color and creativity. 🔵Standing on the top of the mountain and overlooking the town, the bare blood-red rocks are dotted with pine trees, heather, and ferns.
