Swan | Erasmus Bridge

The Erasmus Bridge in the Netherlands, known as the "Swan Bridge", has a simple and neat appearance, with a slender and tall snow-white body, like an elegant white swan gracefully wandering over the Maas River. The Swan Bridge has a single arm that reaches 139 meters high, and the bridge body is as long as 802 meters, making it the longest cable-stayed bridge in the world at that time. This one-way cable-stayed bridge suspends steel cables on the tower gate, bends to resist tension, and supports the bridge body. The bridge was built in 1990 and completed in 1996. It has 2600 steps, several roads, and is accessible to vehicles, trams, bicycles, pedestrians, and skateboarders, making it an outstanding example of Dutch practicality.
