Trevi Fountain Rome

The Trevi Fountain is named after the virgin Trivia (her statue on the left wall of the fountain) who led the Roman soldiers to a natural spring outside of Rome. This place is another landmark of Rome. The Trevi Fountain has a theater-like backdrop, carved with marble figures of the gods Neptune and Triton taming a wild horse beautifully in Baroque art on an ancient Greek-Roman architectural structure. Designed by Nicola Salvi, it was built in 1732. It is believed that if anyone throws a coin into the Trevi Fountain (throw it with their right hand over their left shoulder), they will return to Rome again.
