The Spanish Steps at Piazza di Spagna

#visitrome Spanish monument in Rome? This monument 135 steps stairway was built by French diplomat Etienne Gueffier with the fund of 20000 scudi, designed by architects Francesco de Sanctid and Alessandro Specchi, linking the Spanish embassy to the Holy See in the Palazzo Monaldeschi at the bottoms. Constructed between 1723 - 1725, this 300 year old steps has a height of 29 meters.
