Rizhao is absolutely a divine place for walking with children, where they can play to their heart's content

After arriving, a visit to the Rizhao Ocean Aesthetics Pavilion is a must. We are a family of two adults and two children, and we book 'Lishe' in advance through Ctrip. The room comes with a private courtyard, and upon opening the door, you're one minute away from the beach and the sea. For two adults and one child, choosing 'Xianshe' is also possible, as the rooms are quite spacious, but the shower water in some rooms may be a bit thin. The hotel has its own play area, an infinity pool, seaside BBQ, and the children can have a blast. Now the weather is fine for swimming in the sea. When tired and dirty, it's just a one-minute journey back to the room to shower and rest, which is incredibly convenient. After a day at the hotel, you can take the kids to Rizhao Ocean Park for a good half day. Although it's not very big, there's a rich variety of species. There are interactive activities where you can feed seals at an additional cost. There are two options: for ¥50, you can feed from outside the enclosure with 5 pieces of fish, and for ¥80, you can get up close with the seals and feed them 8 pieces of fish. My kids always finish two buckets of fish and are never satisfied. There's also a dolphin show at noon, and after it ends, you can touch the dolphins. The staff will help take photos. After seeing the marine life, there's a small zoo on the first floor where you can feed parrots and flamingos up close. It seems there are quite a few extra-charge activities, but the most important thing is that the children are happy. Breakfast can be had at the hotel, ending at 9:30 am, and the rooms all come with a buffet breakfast. There's a good variety and the taste is also quite good. For dinner, I highly recommend Niu Lao Seafood Barbecue; their sea intestine fried rice is delicious. Near Wanxianghui, there's a restaurant called Mitian Pig's Trotters. Although it's a bit different from Seoul's pig's trotters, it's still worth a try for those who like Korean food. A three-day, two-night stay in Rizhao is about right. A short trip with children is a good choice, and the key is that it's really not tiring. With the beach, the sea, water play, and crab catching, it's hard for children not to like it.
