#campingfun Camping in Rimetea, Romania was an unforgettable experience! Nestled at the foot of the Trascău Mountains, this charming village offers a perfect mix of nature and tranquility. The campsite itself was simple, but with incredible views of Piatra Secuiului (the “Stone of the Szeklers”). I paid around 30 RON for a night, which is super affordable, considering the stunning backdrop. Waking up early to catch the sunrise hitting the cliffs was magical, with the entire landscape bathed in golden light. The village of Rimetea is just a short walk away, where you can explore traditional whitewashed houses with green shutters and grab some local treats at a bakery. Nearby, you can visit the Colțesti Fortress, an easy hike from the campsite and well worth the effort for the panoramic views of the valley. No entrance fees for the natural attractions, just a bit of walking to take it all in!
