Latvia🇱🇻 Riga Blackhead Palace, one of the most gorgeous buildings

The Blackhead Palace is a building located in the old town of Riga (Vecrīga), the capital of Latvia. The original building was built in the early 14th century and belonged to the Blackhead Brotherhood, a guild of unmarried German merchants in Riga. From 1580 to 1886, many decorations were added. The building was bombed by German aircraft on June 28, 1941 and fell into ruins; its remaining parts were demolished by the Soviet government in 1948. The current building was rebuilt from 1995 to 1999. The Blackhead Palace is one of the most gorgeous buildings in Riga, attracting many tourists to stop here and take photos every day. A handsome Gothic building with a Dutch Renaissance facade, it was used to house members of the bachelor's guild, who were also notorious revelers.
