It is also the plum rain season, with frequent showers. A two-day, one-night trip is ideal for climbing Danxia Mountain. The two main scenic areas of Danxia Mountain are Changlao Peak and Yangyuan Mountain. In the afternoon, you can climb Yangyuan Mountain, driving to the ticket station at the entrance. Yangyuan Mountain is not suitable for the elderly and small children due to the steep Yunyan plank road, which becomes very slippery during the plum rain season. You can check in at the Yangyuan Stone viewing spot and then leave, completing the Yangyuan Mountain trip in about 40 minutes. Young people should definitely climb the entire Yangyuan Mountain to make the most of the trip (the entire Yangyuan Mountain can only be walked). Ximei Village, Jiujitian Ladder, and Xuanji Platform are the best spots to watch the sunset in Danxia, so don't miss them. After watching the sunset, it will be 7 PM when you descend the mountain. The next morning, you can climb Changlao Peak, either by walking for 50 minutes to reach Guanit Pavilion to watch the sunrise (starting at 5 AM to reach Guanit Pavilion by 6:30 AM) or by taking the cable car up the mountain and walking for 5 minutes to Yunyin Pavilion to watch the sunrise. However, if you want to go to Guanit Pavilion, you need to walk another 50 minutes on the mountain path (many people complain about this after buying round-trip tickets).
