Strolling through Shuiting Gate, one encounters the ancient charm of Quzhou.

Stepping into Quzhou's Shuiting Gate is like opening an ancient history book. The city walls, weathered by time, bear the marks of bygone stories in every crack. On both sides of the old street, Hui-style architecture stands in elegant disarray, with carved eaves and intricate details. The street-side shops offer a dazzling array of goods, from traditional pastry shops emitting rich aromas to cultural and creative stores filled with exquisite handicrafts. I bought a Quzhou baked pancake, its crispy crust encasing a savory meat filling. One bite, and I was enveloped in the warmth of everyday life. Walking to the banks of the Qujiang River, a gentle breeze brushed my face as the river flowed serenely. The scenery on the opposite bank complements Shuiting Gate, creating a tranquil tableau. As night falls and the lights come on, the ancient buildings are outlined in light, captivating in their beauty. Shuiting Gate, with its unique charm, allowed me to experience the historical charm and vibrant life of Quzhou. It was a trip well worth taking.
