While strolling through the Qizhou South Gate Market, I suddenly discovered two shops selling Duze cakes. The owner said that Duze Ancient Town is a town under Qijiang District, which produces a lot of cakes. As a small town famous for its cakes, how could we miss it? So we decided to take a half-day trip to Duze Ancient Town. Take bus No. 8 from the hotel to Fushi Field Bus Station. This is a large transfer station. Take bus No. 701, 702, or 705 directly to Duze Bus Station. Get off the bus and cross the road to slowly wander through Duze Old Street. Duze Old Street was rebuilt on the basis of the old street and old houses in the past, basically preserving its original appearance. Shops are lined up, including food, clothing, and daily necessities. It is a great place to relax and unwind. As you wander through the street, you feel as if time has stopped and your thoughts are wandering, as if you have suddenly returned to the past. Walking to Xieji Cake Shop, you can truly feel the charm of cakes. Although the town is small, its cakes are famous all over the world. Many places sell their cakes, among which honey osmanthus cake is the most famous. It has a rich flavor. The walls of the shop are decorated with displays of cake-making memories, promotion of intangible cultural heritage protection, and various awards received by the shop, as if telling tourists the past and present of Xieji Cake Shop. Duze Ancient Town is full of life. You can experience it at Duze Farmers' Market. Many farmers sell their own agricultural products on the street. The products are fresh and affordable. There are also many products that I have never seen before, which makes me feel the charm of the countryside.
