Liaokuo Park, Qujing, Yunnan

Take a taxi to the north gate of Liaokuo Park outside the South City Gate. Liaokuo Mountain was originally named Miaogao Mountain, with a maximum altitude of 2,147.6 meters. In 1381 AD, the Ming army renamed the mountain Shengfeng to commemorate the victory of the Baishijiang Battle. Together with Qingfeng in the south and Cuifeng in the west, it is known as “Three Green Peaks” and is one of the eight scenic spots in ancient Nanning. Liaokuo Park was built on Liaokuo Mountain. Construction began in 1973 and was completed and opened in 1980. The entire scenic area runs east-west and is divided into three parts: a vast park area, a scenic forest area and a riverside park area, with a total area of ​​345.04 hectares. It is very large and has become a natural health bar for Qujing City. There are many attractions in the park, including the zoo, Xu Xiake sculpture, Shengfeng Pavilion, Huaixian Pavilion, Martyrs' Monument, Jingning Pagoda, multiple viewing platforms, mountain health trails and so on. The entire scenic forest area is dominated by natural mountains and forest vegetation, with various Yunnan vegetation and pine trees. The weather was very good today, and we saw a villa area next to Liaokuo Park. But Liaokuo Park is a mountain of graves, and the roadside leading up the mountain is filled with the graves of elderly people from Qujing. This makes me feel uncomfortable. We walked along the winding mountain road for about an hour and reached the highest point, Jingning Pagoda, where we could overlook the entire Qujing City. You can buy a ticket to climb the Jingning Pagoda. The whole climbing process was very pleasant, the sun was shining, the sky was blue, the vegetation was lush, the air was fresh and refreshing, and the mood was relaxed and happy.
