Panoramic Paradise: Deer Park Heights in Queenstown

#weekendgetaways During my recent trip to Queenstown, I visited Deer Park Heights, a scenic drive and animal encounter located 550 meters above the town. The 5 km self-drive route meanders through a working deer farm, offering breathtaking 360-degree views of Lake Wakatipu, The Remarkables mountain range, and the Whakatipu Basin. Along the way, I had the delightful opportunity to feed various animals, including deer, goats, alpacas, and donkeys. Pellets were available for purchase at the first stop, making it easy to interact with these friendly creatures. The combination of stunning vistas and hands-on animal experiences made Deer Park Heights a highlight of my New Zealand adventure.
