Until I saw "Closed".....because the road ahead was dangerous and closed I was forced to turn back. I changed my direction and climbed Queenstown Hill. You can have a bird's eye view of the whole Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu. It was already past three o'clock. I walked up the slope for half an hour before reaching the trail entrance. There were people climbing along the way. It is a relatively easy trail. Therefore, many climbers would choose this as the entry point. However, due to the high temperature of more than 30 degrees today, I was exposed to the sun along the way. My physical condition was not good, sweating and exhausted. It took almost two hours to stop and walk to see the scenery. Many people went alone, and some people ran up the mountain. Finally, I reached the summit of Queenstown hill. The scenery in front of me was breathtaking. The beautiful lake view, mountain view and town scenery made me reluctant to leave even under the scorching sun. As expected, I got dark and sunburned 😱😱😱. No wonder many backpackers come here every year for pilgrimage. Especially there are many famous trails near Queenstown, which attract many climbers. Finally, I ran all the way down the mountain, and suddenly all the hardships I had just experienced seemed worthwhile. It is actually easier to jog downhill and reduce the damage to your knees. - I met two Australians while climbing the mountain. I learned that I had to take a gondola to climb the Ben Lomond track. They basically forced me to take the cable car to the mountaintop restaurant for afternoon tea (? Because their pace was faster and lighter. We had to say goodbye very quickly. Many times, others may run faster than you, jump farther than you, and fly higher than you. But everyone has their own pace. There is no need to be depressed or inferior about it.
