Qingzhou Museum (new museum)

The Qingzhou Municipal Museum is a comprehensive museum. Its predecessor, the Yidu County Museum, was founded in 1959. The original site was the renovated ancestral hall of Feng Pu, a scholar of the Wenhua Palace during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. It was newly built in a different location in 1984. The museum covers an area of ​​40 acres and has a construction area of ​​12,000 square meters. In 2008, it was rated as one of the first batch of "National First-Class Museums" and is the only county-level comprehensive museum among the first batch of 83 national first-class museums. In 2017, it formed the Qingzhou Ancient City Tourist Area with Yunmen Mountain and the ancient city and was promoted to a national AAAAA level tourist attraction. The Qingzhou New Museum will open on May 15, 2023, with a total construction area of ​​50,934 square meters. It adopts the Han and Tang Dynasty styles, highlighting the "high platforms, towers, and pitched roofs" of traditional Chinese architecture, and uses modern design techniques to make it abstract and concise.
