Cuifeng Temple, Mount Jiuhua

We planned to visit Cuifeng Temple for the first time, but the winding mountain road made my friend carsick, so we had to turn back halfway. This time, we happened to come to the back of Mount Jiuhua and fulfilled our little wish. The temple is built against the mountain, with a large tea garden in front of the gate. The mountain is high and green, and the view is wide. Cuifeng Temple is a key protected temple in Anhui Province. It was originally called Tianzhu Nunnery and was built in the Tang Dynasty. In the early Yuan Dynasty, it was called Cuifeng Nunnery. In the Qing Dynasty, it was officially renamed Cuifeng Temple. During the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty, the famous monk Yuexia and others came from Hubei and founded Huayan University in the temple, which specialized in teaching the Avatamsaka Sutra. It is a wonderful place and worth the visit.
