The Yellow River Altar of China

The full name of the Yellow River Altar is 'The Yellow River Altar of China', also known as 'The Sacred Yellow River Altar of China'. It is a symbolic building on the golden bank of the Yellow River, located in Qingtongxia City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. To pay respect to the Yellow River, worship the Yellow River, and express gratitude to the Yellow River, the construction of the Yellow River Altar began in May 2010 and was completed at the end of April 2011. The chief designer was Professor Feng Qinduo. The Yellow River Altar is 999 meters long, 200 meters wide, and has a construction area of 65,000 square meters. It is backed by the Helan Mountain range, stands opposite the Niushou Mountain across the river, is flanked by the Yellow River's bend on the left, and is adjacent to the entrance of the Qingtongxia Gorge on the right. Standing at the site of the Sacred Yellow River Altar and looking downward, the Yellow River and its beaches below form a perfect Tai Chi Bagua pattern.
