The Northwest Color Palette 🎨 feels like a vivid and colorful dream. Finally completed my Northwest Color Palette ✅ The Qinghai-Gansu Grand Loop is absolutely stunning 🥰. This route features snow-capped mountains, salt lakes, deserts, grasslands, and the Gobi. Over seven days and six nights, you can experience a variety of breathtaking landscapes, making it perfect for summer travel. The peak season for the Qinghai-Gansu Grand Loop is approaching, so we booked a local guide in advance. He was not only handsome and reliable but also an excellent driver. He knew all the best photo spots and local delicacies, so we didn’t have to worry about anything. All we had to do was hop out of the car and take beautiful pictures. Here’s my travel guide to share with everyone: 🧰 Essentials: 🆔 Documents: ID card, student ID, or any other documents that might offer discounts. 🧥 Clothing: The Northwest has significant temperature differences between day and night. During the day, summer clothes are sufficient, but at night, it gets chilly, so bring a windbreaker or a moderately thick jacket. 📱 Electronics: Drone, power bank, headphones 🎧, chargers, etc. 🕶 Others: Sunscreen, sunglasses, sunshade umbrella, travel neck pillow (a must for long car rides to rest comfortably). ⚠️⚠️ Special Notes: 1️⃣ The Qinghai region has many ethnic minorities. Please respect local beliefs and customs. Avoid 🙅‍ touching things randomly or speaking loudly. 2️⃣ The Northwest has large temperature differences between day and night and is located on a plateau. Be sure to bring warm clothing to prevent catching a cold. 3️⃣ Self-driving is not recommended for beginners. The route spans a vast area with complex terrain. We saw multiple instances of tire blowouts along the way. If you’re inexperienced and encounter a blowout in a signal-dead zone, it could be disastrous! Hiring a reliable local guide in advance is much better than driving yourself.
