Zhongshan Road is great for strolling, especially at night when the lights are on, making it perfect for photos. The street is filled with food shops and souvenir stores, and various beers are sold. When I visited, a 500ml beer was about 15 yuan, with different flavors available. Zhongshan Road is the main street and connects to other streets, perfect for spending an entire afternoon exploring. Comparing Xiaoyushan Park and Signal Hill Park, the entrance to Xiaoyushan requires walking uphill first, while Signal Hill Park is visible right outside the subway station exit. Xiaoyushan is higher in elevation, offering broader views. Also, climbing the Lanchao Pavilion in Xiaoyushan Park is free, while climbing the signal tower costs 10 yuan. In Laoshan Scenic Area, the top priority is visiting Taiqing Palace, which charges an additional 27 yuan. If possible, consider hiring a guide in the scenic area; it seems to cost around 100-200 yuan and can explain the history inside Taiqing Palace. Jufeng Peak mainly follows the Bagua Gate, a large circular route. Since I walked slowly and took photos, it took about 4-5 hours. I took the cable car down, which costs 45 yuan one way. I heard from travelers who walked up that it’s not too difficult and takes about an hour, but the attractions along the way are not particularly impressive.
