An Unforgettable Seaside Trip to Laoshan Mountain

While attending a conference in Qingdao, the city was shrouded in heavy fog for several days. Our hotel, the Hyatt Regency, was right next to Shilaoren Beach, but the visibility was extremely poor. Seeing a forecast of cloudy skies in Laoshan District, my junior colleague and I decided to head there. We entered the scenic area from Dahedong and transferred to a bus to Taiqing Palace. The fog persisted throughout the journey, and by the time we reached Qingshan Fishing Village, we were disheartened, complaining about the inaccurate forecast, and ready to return. That's when we stumbled upon the bus stop for Route 618. We hopped on the bus heading towards Yangkou almost by accident. Just minutes after departure, the fog miraculously dispersed! The weather turned sunny, and the azure sea appeared outside the window. Kudos to the scenic Route 618 – it truly lived up to its reputation! Near the 618 terminal is a beach with picturesque swings and a lighthouse. A year later, I still cherish the memory of that day, the rollercoaster of emotions, and the feeling of watching the sunset over the sea, with the gentle breeze whispering the truth: life is truly lived in a few precious moments!
