Hilton Golden Sands: A real review (with both pros and cons).

🌈Theme: The hotel is very close to Golden Sands Beach. You can go out the back door and walk down Music Avenue for about 10 minutes. 📝Tips: However, you need to swipe your room card at the back door, so remember to bring it. When we checked in, there was only one room card for two people in each room. This is a negative point. An extra room card costs CNY 20. I have never encountered this requirement in any hotel or homestay of any level. 🏘️Room type/layout/facilities: The twin room is quite large, with a walk-in cloakroom, a separate toilet with a sink, and a separate shower and bathtub. The layout is reasonable. However, the drawer box for toiletries smells a bit moldy, and the electronic scale has no battery. There are no paper bags in the hotel. These details make the hotel not worth the price. The balcony door can be used for arm exercises. The curtains need to be opened and closed manually. In short, the hotel is quite old. The original algae well design on the top of the lobby and the staircase leading to the second floor are very artistic and atmospheric. I don't know why there is a huge vulgar money tree and four weird blue pillars in the center. 🧹Sound insulation/hygiene: Not bad. But the outdoor swimming pool is quite noisy at night, with loud music. You can still hear it with the balcony door closed. 🎯Entertainment facilities: The outdoor swimming pool is very good, with separate adult and children's pools. There is also a sand pool and a children's slide opposite. The sign shows that there is a pet park, but I don't know what it is like. 💰️Average consumption: The room rate depends on the season. The bread is not expensive, only CNY 12 each. The same size bread usually costs more than CNY 20 in hotels in the Yangtze River Delta. There is a convenience store in the hotel, which is quite convenient. 💗Overall: The biggest feature should be its proximity to Golden Sands Beach. However, Golden Sands Beach here seems a bit messy. There was a lot of garbage on the beach when I watched the sunrise in the morning. The outdoor swimming pool is very beautiful, with lights at night. You can choose a room facing it. The hotel service at the front desk is very average, and there is no reminder for things that require a room card, such as going out the back door. The two gentlemen at the luggage storage are very nice.
