Take a stroll along the coastal greenway from Qingdao's first to second bathing beach

Qingdao's seaside is unique, with less than 1 kilometer from the first bathing beach at Huiquan Bay along the coastal greenway to the second bathing beach, yet the scenery is enchanting. Everywhere seems to invite you to stop and take photos. Over a hundred years ago, when Qingdao was occupied by Germany, the bathing beach was established here because of the bay's winding shape, fine sand, and gentle slope. It was also Qingdao's first bathing beach. Walking from the shore into the water for more than 10 meters, the water is only chest-deep, and only after 20 meters can one be fully submerged. Even non-swimmers can frolic in the water within 10 meters, which locals call 'sea bathing.' On a summer day, soaking in the sea, teaching children to swim, having swimming competitions in groups, or drinking beer after swimming to the shark net (a protective facility of the bathing beach against sharks) is so comfortable. The west side of the bathing beach, from north to south, the mountains slope from high to low. The pavilions of Xiaoyushan Park, the red tiles hidden among the greenery, and further away, the 'red mushroom' on Signal Hill can be seen. The extension of the mountains reveals the seaside park: Lu Xun Park. Looking out to the sea, Huangdao is within sight, and ships entering and leaving the port can be seen... Blue sky, white clouds, red tiles, green trees, bays, beaches, and endless tourists. The second bathing beach has a pond with blooming lotuses right after entering the main gate, which grow in freshwater; less than a hundred meters away is the salty sea water, showing a glimpse of nature's magic. Along the way, the villas on Huanwan Road by the sea, most of the buildings have a sign at the entrance: National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit. The famous Qingdao scenic spot: Badaguan Scenic Area is already included here. Marshal Building, Butterfly Building... all for your photography. Passing by the former Nautical School on Nanhai Road, a wedding sign on the roadside attracted us, 'Welcome to our wedding.' We entered the wedding venue by the sea and took a photo, what a blissful couple: the sea and sky bear witness, hand in hand for a century.
