Butterfly Mansion

Butterfly Mansion, located at No. 21 Shanhaiguan Road in the Badaguan area of Qingdao, was jointly designed by Chinese and Russian architects. It is an eclectic architecture that blends various styles, built in 1934. The original owner was a Russian emigrant. In 1935, the film 'Peach Blossom in Post-Robbery' scripted by Hong Shen, directed by Zhang Shichuan, and starring Hu Die, the movie queen of the 1920s and 1930s, was shot here, hence the building is also known as 'Peach Blossom Mansion' or 'Butterfly Mansion'. Now, the mansion houses a small film museum with exhibition rooms dedicated to Hu Die and Hong Shen. As one of the 'Four Famous Mansions' in Badaguan, visitors can buy tickets to enter and visit, or they can purchase a joint ticket to visit along with 'Princess Mansion' and 'Spanish Style Pavilion'.
