Mountain of the Gods!

Kangrinboqe Peak, with an altitude of 6656 meters, is the main peak of the Gangdise Mountains in China and the second highest peak in the Gangdise Mountains. It is one of the ten most beautiful and stunning mountains in China, located in the northern part of Pulan County in the southwestern Tibet Autonomous Region. In Tibetan, it means the Mountain of the Gods. The southern fault descends to the Xiangquan River Valley and the basins of Lake Manasarovar and Lake Rakshastal. Above 6000 meters, it is covered with snow and ice, with 28 modern glaciers, mainly cirque glaciers and hanging glaciers. There are more glaciers on the southern slope than on the northern slope. In Tibetan, Gangdise is called "Kangrinboqe" or "Gangrenboqi," meaning the treasure of the snow mountain. This sacred mountain of Gangdise is the place of the Western Paradise or the Western Pure Land in the eighty million worlds, where eighty million sages were born and spread the Dharma. It is the geographical and cultural center of Jambudvipa and the birthplace of the ancient Xiangxiong Buddhism—Yungdrung Bon Buddhism, which is the original Buddhism of the Tibetan people. Yungdrung Bon Buddhism is a wish-fulfilling jewel for all sentient beings, bringing them away from suffering and towards happiness, a peaceful world, and rescuing and saving all beings. Kangrinboqe Peak is also a sacred mountain in multiple religions. In Sanskrit, it is called Mount Kailash. The northern slope of Kangrinboqe Peak is the source of the Lion Spring River, the upper reaches of the Indus River. It is said that Yungdrung Bon originated from this mountain; Hinduism considers it the abode of Shiva, the center of the world; Jainism believes it is the place where their founder Rishabhanatha attained enlightenment; Tibetan Buddhism considers this mountain the residence of Chakrasamvara, representing infinite happiness. Pilgrims from home and abroad come here to circumambulate the mountain throughout the year.
