Grizedale Brook

#birminghamtrip From Grizedale Bridge to Grizedale Reservoir following Grizedale Brook through Holmes Wood. Grizedale Dock Reservoir or simply Grizedale Reservoir as it is known is located on the Grizedale Brook below Nicky Nook in Lancashire, England. It is one of a series of three reservoirs constructed in the early 1900's to provide water to Blackpool and the surrounding area. A beautiful walk with dog and elderly relatives who used a tramper to get around and see the Forrest. Lovely welcome from the lady working in the visitors centre Very impressed. Beautiful rivers and streams flowing through. Perfect on a rainy day as it provides a little bit of shelter. Dog loved it and it was nice to be able to have him off lead. Only saw 3 or other people on the walk.
