Yes, but only if you have the time and truly want to relax and take it easy. If you're looking for an action-packed island adventure, this might not be the place for you. However, if you want to unwind and do very little, São Jorge is a great choice. The island's pristine beaches (which you won't find on Madeira) not only offer unforgettable views but also provide a tranquil escape from reality. You can reach São Jorge by boat or take a quick 15-minute flight between Funchal Airport and São Jorge. Traveling from São Jorge Airport to any hotel on the island is both quick and convenient! There's no traffic congestion on this island! Don't make the same mistake I did—you need to stay there for at least a few days. Otherwise, you won't have enough time to enjoy everything it has to offer, and it will only cut into your time on Madeira!
