🇵🇹 Church of Saint Francis, Porto

The Church of Saint Francis is one of the famous religious landmarks in the historic centre of Porto, a UNESCO world heritage site. It is a Gothic church that was initially built in the 14th century and later renovated in the Baroque style during the 17th and 18th centuries. Its opulent interior is often considered as a masterpiece of Portuguese Baroque art. One of the most famous aspects of the church is the Chapel of the Bones adorned with human bones and skulls. The church also houses the tomb of King Ferdinand I of Portugal and his wife. The church is conveniently located next to the first stop of tram no. 1 at Infante. 📌 Igreja de São Francisco 📍 Rua do Infante D.
