Pundikot is a new tourist spot where you can see the famous Himalayan peaks up close with Lake Phair below. It is a short one-hour taxi ride (about 1,500 yen) from the lakeside hotel. It takes almost no walking to reach the observation deck (about 1,500m above sea level). There are many local people, and I did not see any foreign tourists. It is very moving to see Annapurna shining in the light of the sunrise at dawn. By the time we left, the number of visitors increased and it became lively all at once.
