Tianji Mountain

Basic Information Tianji Mountain is located at the southeastern foot of Pingshun County, Changzhi City, Shanxi Province. It is a national 4A-level scenic area, known as "better than Jiangnan" and a natural forest oxygen bar. Best Time to Visit Spring (March to May) is the best time to visit, when everything is coming back to life and the mountains are covered in flowers. Autumn (September to November) is also a good time to visit, when the weather is cool and the leaves are changing color. Summer (June to August) is a good time to visit if you want to escape the heat, but be sure to bring rain gear and sunscreen. Transportation • Public transportation: Take bus 301 to Changqing Town Government Station, or take a bus from Changzhi East Bus Station to Pingshun Yanglaoyan (direct to Tianji Mountain). • Self-driving: Navigate to "Tianji Mountain Scenic Area". There is a parking lot at the scenic area, which costs CNY 15 per time. Ticket Information Tickets are CNY 57 per person. Must-See Attractions • Tianji Buddha: Lifelike and dignified. • Tianquan Waterfall: Majestic, with a drop of 346 meters, the highest waterfall in China. • Cliff Walkway: Carved into the cliff, with a drop of over 300 meters, offering stunning views of the mountains. • Cloud Bridge: Over 200 meters long and 400 meters above the ground, with a 400-meter-high viewing platform, thrilling and exciting. • Feilai Peak: Strange granite boulders, shaped by nature. Tour Route Enter the scenic area from the main gate and visit the following attractions in order: Emerald Lake, Lingyin Cave, Guanyin Cave, Cliff Walkway, Tianji Buddha, and Tianquan Waterfall. The entire tour takes about 4-6 hours. Accommodation and Dining • Accommodation: There are hotels and homestays around the scenic area. You can also choose to stay in Changzhi City, where there are many hotels and restaurants near Bayi Square. • Food: There are many local specialties, such as wild vegetables, free-range chicken and duck, donkey meat pancakes, Wuxiang date cake, Changzi fried cake, and Huguan mutton soup.
