It's a one-hour drive from Pingnan County, two hours from Fuzhou, and four and a half hours from Xiamen. This place is known as the 'Fujian version of a place with wind' The village is at the foot of a mountain, and after getting off the highway, you need to drive on a mountain road for about ten to twenty minutes to enter the village. The mountain road is easy to drive and not steep, and there is a unified parking lot in the village. It was drizzling on the day I went, with clouds and mist winding around the mountain tops, creating a unique atmosphere. A stream flows down from the mountains, and houses with wooden architecture are built along the stream, giving a sense of Jiangnan landscape. There are art galleries, coffee shops, and research bases here, making it a village with a touch of artistic flair and commercialization. The local customs are simple, and there are self-service unmanned stalls by the stream selling various local products, even including big cabbages, which is quite interesting. For food, there are farm restaurants, snacks, fruit tea, milk tea, and roasted milk coffee. There are many homestays for accommodation, and the prices are not high. But the village is actually quite small, and you can finish walking around it very quickly. If there's no traffic jam, the net driving time from Xiamen is four and a half hours, which is too far. The high-speed train also takes four hours and requires a transfer. I don't think it's worth driving so far from Xiamen, especially since there are so many places you can go within four to five hours. If you are from Ningde, Fuzhou, or nearby areas and it's a one to two-hour drive to stroll around, walk the kids, daydream for half a day, or stay for one night, it's not bad.
