While strolling on Zhonglou Street, I accidentally pushed open a simple wooden door and walked into a Guan Di Temple built during the Song Dynasty—the Xixiaowei Camp Guan Di Temple. What surprised me even more is that this is one of the rare temples in the country that worships both Guan Gong and Lady Guan. 🌿 With red walls and gray tiles, the temple buildings are solemn. The offering hall, bell and drum towers, and the sleeping palace all retain the style of the Ming Dynasty. Standing in the courtyard, it feels like you can hear the echoes of history. At that moment, I truly understood what "Viewing cultural relics on the ground in Shanxi" means. If you come to Taiyuan, don’t just visit the food street.
